
Tuition for 2011-12
Students who are members of an association congregation receive an $840 tuition credit. The following churches are members of the West Michigan Lutheran High School Association: Grace Lutheran, Immanuel Lutheran, Journey of Faith Church, Our Savior Lutheran, St. James Lutheran and St. Mark Lutheran.
Application Fee for 2011-12
There is a non-refundable $100 application fee that must be paid when the application is submitted.
Book Fee
A $100 refundable book fee must be paid with the first tuition payment. Textbooks will be evaluated at the end of the school year. Book fees will be pro-rated, based on the condition of the books, with the balance refunded or applied to next year's book fee.
Financial Aid 2011-12
Purpose:
To provide WMLHS Families with financial assistance. This financial aid is need-based and is applied directly to the student's tuition.
Criteria:
All grants are based on demonstrated financial need. The financial aid program is open to all students who have submitted an application, paid the application fee and have been officially accepted. Students applying for Financial Aid must meet behavior and academic standards.
Applications:
West Michigan Lutheran High School uses Confidential Financial Analysis (www.cfslogin.com), a third party organization, to provide an income evaluation. The cost of this evaluation is to be paid by the family and will be credited towards the student's tuition for the upcoming school year. The confidential report can be filled out online, and the school will receive the report within a few days. Written and regular mailed reports can also be used to submit information- forms can be requested from the school office.
What is considered:
The report will be used by the school to help determine the amount of financial assistance the family will receive. Grants are made on the basis of the number of applicants, degree of need and the amount of budgeted aid available. Grants for 2011-12 will be announced shortly after May 1st.
West Michigan Lutheran High School does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, national or ethnic origin in the award of any tuition assistance. Designated tuition assistance or tuition payments paid to West Michigan Lutheran High School that are designated for a specific family or recipient are not considered to be tax-deductible.
Parents can use the T.R.I.P. program (similar to S.C.R.I.P.) program through Legacy Christian to buy gift cards from local merchants and receive a rebate to be used toward tuition at WMLHS.
